Problems so far:
1. A few times xscanimage closed SCSI 1 interface not correct, reboot needed to find /dev/scanner again no idee yet to find the cause (preview option problem or ?).
2. black and white scans NOK
3. grayscale scan, 2 vertical lines in scan
4. colorscale scan, 2 vertical lines in scan, and 3x scan on file (color mix?)
So a lot of progress is made.
Also xsane used for testing teco2 backend, preview mode causes a system crash, reason?.

Problems so far:
1. 2 vertical lines in all 3 scans
2. preview mode test sequence start with xsane, made some scans OK, made some preview scans OK, from preview mode to normal mode, scsi problems, sane-find-scanner no response of scanner, if this problem is related to the snapscan problems with the segfault in sane-exit (discussion in SANE mailinglist) ?
3. First color test, color reference chart [16] printed on plain paper (co100d-1.jpg) instead of photopaper so scan result can be better, second color test, color reference chart [16] printed on photo paper (co100d-1b.jpg
4. Installed linux printer driver for HP970Cxi is not optimal yet, so output color reference chart (co100d-1.jpg) NOK yet, for second color scan (co100d-1.jpg) cupsys installed and qtcups used for printing
5. On color scan not all colors are correct, 3 lines instead of 1 (no calibration in teco2 driver yet) See for example difference yellow color on ref. chart and scan (604CVU)

Preview testreport:
1. Startup xsane, startup preview scan (preview screen), scan is done, start scan (xsane screen), startup scanner, after some time xsane stops, scan not done. scsi1 interface is blokked. Powerup PC and scanner solves the problem. It seems that a exit from xsane preview mode to xsane start mode generates a hangup on the scanner interface. The scan turns out to be better.
- 31-01-2003 Some test done with version 1.0.10-pre3. When instead of 0x1000 0x1100 is used also white fields are more white.
- 25-04-2003 Some test done with the CVS version 25042003, use export SANE_TECO2_CAL_ALGO=0 (uses 0x1100) and export SANE_TECO2_CAL_ALGO=1 (uses 4206639 patch).
- 05-06-2003 Some test done with Sane 1.0.12, teco2 and 600 dpi, color skewing not OK, see files (2.7 Mbyte) color 600 dpi file in raw mode

Due to a bug the around line 2740 the following change is made:
dev->def->color_adjust[i].resolution != dev->x_resolution;
should be
dev->def->color_adjust[i].resolution != dev->y_resolution;

-SANE_TECO2_CAL_ALGO values added for 0 and 1 mode for VM3564 and VM356A, default is 1
-white_level added for VM3564, VM356A and VM3575 (SANE_TECO2_CAL_ALGO mode 0 and 1)
-color dpi tables update, correct 600dpi color scan for the VM356A and VM3575 possible (only scaling problem left)
